Security Financial to open Eau Claire bank

Durand-based Security Financial Bank will be opening a full-service banking office at 3430 Oakwood Mall Dr., Eau Claire, effective Feb. 2nd.

According to Security Financial Bank President and CEO Jim Mayo, the financial institution opened an investment subsidiary, Security Financial Solutions, in Eau Claire four years ago.

"Entering the Eau Claire market has been a key strategy of our bank's growth plans for a number of years. We have watched corporate banks in particular face unprecedented obstacles over the past year and believe the opportunity is extremely bright for a strong community bank committed to personalized service," said Mayo, who added that Curt Van Auken recently joined the bank as the Eau Claire regional president.

Security Financial Bank, which also has an office in River Falls, has more than $340 million in assets. TBL
