TBL has learned that Plank Holding, LLC, recently finalized the purchase of the 30,000-square-foot building and five acres of property at 206 Cashman Dr., Chippewa Falls. The manufacturing facility was previously owned and occupied by Riverside Machine & Engineering Inc., which relocated and expanded earlier this year to a portion of the Hutchinson Technology Inc. complex in Eau Claire.
"We're expanding our operations but we haven't released which part of our operations is moving. We hope to release that information in the next couple of weeks, if not later this week. If all the renovations go as planned, we're hoping to move in next month," said Plank Enterprises President and CEO Mike Ottum.
Plank Enterprises, which has approximately 160 employees, has four divisions: LPI, LDPI, Badger Industrial Supply and Pro-Cise.
LPI Inc., which was established in Osseo in 1981, specializes in developing solutions for existing personnel positioning and lifting applications; LDPI focuses on designing, engineering and manufacturing light fixtures that were first introduced to the market in 2007; Pro-Cise Inc. is a fabrication and machining solutions operation that serves as a single-source contract manufacturing service for Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) components; and Badger Industrial Supply and Equipment, LLC, was created as a catalog sales division within LPI Inc.
Plank Enterprises was created in July, 1999. The company headquarters has been located in the 120,000-square-foot building at 4404 Anderson Dr., Eau Claire, since Dec., 2008.
