The City of Eau Claire Plan Commission this week approved a site plan for a new 30,000-square-foot medical facility to be constructed at 3802 Oakwood Mall Drive. However, even though the complex will be sharing parking space with the new Oakleaf Surgical Hospital currently under construction, the applicant for the project cannot divulge the user for the new building.
"We are working on a medical facility, but I cannot confirm anything," said Scott Kramer of Kramer Land Design Studio, the architect of the project.
According to City of Eau Claire Planner Tom Reiter, the new building will be located east of the existing Oakleaf Surgical Center and west of the 64,000-square-foot Oakleaf Surgery Center under construction. He said the user of the facility will occupy clinical offices and may provide some clinical care.
Robb Majeski is the developer of the new building. Neither Majeski or Oakleaf Surgery Hospital Chief Executive Officer Anne Hargrave-Thomas returned calls to TBL prior to its weekly 3pm deadline.TBL
