Developers plan strip mall in Menomonie

Menomonie businessmen Bryan Kneeland and Mark Kinney plan to develop a 13,280-square-foot strip mall at 1320 N. Broadway, Menomonie. The location, which was formerly occupied by a Tom Thumb gas/convenience store, was most recently occupied by a Flag 'n Fuel operation.
"We hope to break ground in mid- to late-February. We are creating two additions to the existing building...and hope that tenants can begin build-outs by early July," said Kneeland, who owns an American Family Insurance office that will be the mall's first tenant.
"We know of one other tenant that is pretty definite. We've had several inquiries from others, and, depending on square footage needs, the strip mall will have the capacity to have up to 11 tenants," said Kneeland, who added that the finished product will result in an L-shaped complex.
He said a general contractor will be selected soon. The property was purchased from Hershey Oil Company.
