Oakwood Crossing center is approved

The City of Eau Claire Plan Commission this week approved a site plan for two commercial buildings to be developed on the northeast corner of Golf Road and Oakwood Hills Parkway, south of Manny's Restaurant.

"There's interest, but there's no starting date and no signed leases," said Commonweal Development President Stuart Schaefer, who added, "We won't break ground until we have tenants confirmed".

According to the site plan, one building would be 12,800 square feet and the other would total approximately 9,750 square feet. Schaefer said possible tenants include retail businesses and restaurants. Ayres Associates is the architect for the project.

Commonweal is expected to break ground this coming week on the new Chipotle Restaurant building that will be developed on a site previously occupied by A&W Restaurant. AT&T will also occupy space in the new complex located on an Oakwood Mall outlot. TBL
