Bremer Bank to open office on Brackett Avenue

TBL has learned that Lake Elmo,MN-based Bremer Bank, which has approximately 100 locations throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin, including an office in Menomonie, will be opening an Eau Claire branch at 2142 Brackett Ave., Eau Claire, later this month.
"We are installing furniture and technology in the space we're leasing on Brackett Avenue. We expect to open the week of February 25th," said Senior Vice President Teresa Morrow, who added, "We have also started researching sites for a permanent location in Eau Claire".
Bremer Bank, which was founded by Otto Bremer in 1943, is co- owned by the Otto Bremer Foundation, a non-profit charitable trust, and the nearly 2,000 Bremer employees. As a result, many of the profits are channeled through the Bremer Foundation to support grants to non-profit organizations in the communities where Bremer does business.
Bremer offers banking, investment, trust and insurance services for individuals and families, large and mid-size corporations, small businesses, agribusinesses, non-profits and public and government entities.
Bremer has hired three bankers to staff its Eau Claire office. Paul Swartos, who most recently served as a commercial relationship manager at Associated Bank in Hudson, and previously spent nine years at Wells Fargo, has joined the business banking team at Bremer. Steven Connell, who has more than 13 years of experience in the mortgage industry and most recently worked at BMO Harris in Menomonie, has been named a mortgage loan officer. Matt Flannery, who joined Bremer eight years ago, will relocate to Eau Claire from St. Paul,MN, as the retail banking manager.
Dean Larsen of Acquisition Realty & Development represented Bremer. The 2,340-square-foot office is being leased from Chris Hubbell of Hubbell Eye Clinic. Don Myers of AFT Real Estate represented Hubbell. TBL
