The City of Mondovi will begin accepting bids from interested contractors who are able to help the municipality expand its 96-acre business park which is located off of Highway 37 on the northeast side of the city.
According to Mondovi City Administrator Dan Lauers-dorf, the city recently acquired land adjacent to the industrial park to assist with the expansion.
"We purchased another 38 acres from Huntsinger Farms...for $5,000 an acre. We now need to put in streets and utilities, which we hope to have completed by September 1st," said Lauersdorf, who added that 11 of the 14 new building sites are available for purchase.
"Organic Choice, a milk transfer station, has already acquired a five acre site. Buffalo Valley Small Animal Vet Clinic has another three acres and Dave Gruber Construction has about one and a half acres," said Lauersdorf.
In addition, R&G Transport will begin construction of a new facility on two lots in the existing business park.
