North Point RV to acquire Willy's RV
Posted: August 27, 2010
TBL has learned that Paul Doughty, owner of North Point RV in Chippewa Falls, and his brother, Mark, who owns Dick's RV in Durand, will be closing on the purchase of Willy's RV in Bloomer from Vickie Hanson, effective Nov. 1st.
"It's been up for sale for some time. We were approached by the realtor, Dean Larsen (Acquisition Realty), and found that this will work well for us. One of the things that appealed to us is that they have the Jayco franchise and we've not had access to that product line in the past," said Paul Doughty, who has owned the Chippewa Falls business since 1990. Dick's RV was established in 1970.
"We're going to keep the samename, but we're going to update the logo and try to brand the business with our other dealerships," he said.
North Point RV and Dick's RV sell and service all types of recreational vehicles, trailers and motor homes, as well as offering parts and accessories.
The combined operations currently employ nearly 30 people. Doughty said he anticipates retaining the staff members at Willy's RV once the acquisition is finalized in November. TBL
