A-1 Rental Express Center moving to Mall Drive

TBL has learned that A-1 Rental Express Center, 2124 S. Hastings Way, Eau Claire, will be relocating and expanding to the former Saturn building located at 2515 Mall Dr., Eau Claire, by early May. The purchase of the 9,500-square-foot facility from John Bergstrom is expected to close today (Apr. 7th).

According to A-1 Rental Express Owner Mike Lueck, who purchased the business from Jack Loomis in 2003, the new facility will allow the company to expand and provide more convenience to customers.

"The new location will give our customers better access and a larger variety of products to choose from. We will have more warehouse and showroom space as well...and we will be able to consolidate our off-site storage to the new location," said Lueck, who added that the company will have three times the space in the new location compared to the South Hastings Way property.

"Since I purchased the company, we have more than doubled our inventory as I continue to buy new products and equipment. We have also doubled our revenue in the last three years," said Lueck.

A-1 Rental Express Center, which employs about 25 people during its busy summer season, rents a large variety of power tools and machinery, as well as lawn and garden items, tents, wedding and party supplies, trailers and more.

Dean Larsen of Acquisition Realty & Development in Eau Claire handled the building sale agreement.
