Morrie's Mazda to redevelop its facility

The Village of Lake Hallie Plan Commission this week approved a site plan for a redevelopment of Morrie's Chippewa Valley Mazda, 2329 South Prairie View Rd., Chippewa Falls.

According to Chippewa County and Lake Hallie Planning and Zoning Administrator Douglas Clary, the auto dealership recently acquired neighboring property to allow it to develop a new, 18,000-square-foot facility.

"Their redeveloping their entire site. It's on a fast track with ground to be broken in August and be completed by the time the snow flies," said Clary, who added that the new building would be developed south of the existing facility. A second phase of the expansion calls for demolishing the current building on the 3.18 acre site.

The Village of Lake Hallie Board will act on the plan commission's recommendation at its Mon., July 16 meeting. TBL
