Former FS Appliance site to be developed

TBL has learned that the former FS Appliance building at 3805 Oakwood Mall Dr., Eau Claire, will be demolished and redeveloped into a three-tenant shopping center.

According to Dan Clumpner with Commonweal Development, the City of Eau Claire Plan Commission will act on a site plan application at its April 5th meeting.

"We have a couple of LOI's (letters of intent) with two of the tenants, but nothing has been finalized yet," said Clumpner.

Plans submitted this week to the City of Eau Claire Planning Department indicate that the 15-year-old existing structure will be demolished to make room for a new 10,900-square-foot facility that will be developed on the parcel. The proposed tenants are Aspen Dental, HuHot Mongolian Grill and an unnamed sandwich shop.

"I'd like to have some of the tenants in there by the end of the year," said Commonweal Development President Stuart Schaefer. TBL
