Lambert acquires Wissota View from Grube

TBL has learned that Al Grube, who purchased Wissota View, 17779 County Trunk X, Chippewa Falls, in 1986, has sold the business to David Lambert of Jim Falls, effective June 21, 2007.

"There's approximately 340 feet of frontage on Lake Wissota, plus there's the bar, restaurant, the volleyball courts, docks, fueling station and remaining property," said Grube, who added that the new owner plans to retain the 25-person staff, including Manager Reba Sheridan.

Grube said he will spend more time developing Lake Wissota Inn Condominiums, LLC. The former motel is being renovated into seven residential condos. He said he recently sold his first unit.

Lambert, who was unavailable for comment prior to TBL deadline, owns other properties and was previously involved in the timber industry, according to Grube. TBL
