Translab buys assets of Illinois company

TBL has learned that Translab Inc., 5408 3M Dr., Menomonie, has finalized the purchase of the assets of South Beloit,IL-based Quality Cup Packaging Machinery Corp. and will relocate the operations to its Menomonie facility.

Translab, which has 15 employees, produces an extensive line of production filling systems which are used by companies nationwide. The firm markets its products under the REB trade name. Officials with the company anticipate that the acquisition will result in the addition of 10 engineering and production personnel within the next three years.

Quality Cup manufactures and markets a line of single-serving cup-filling machines. The machines are used to package food, dairy and medical supplies in individual single-portion cups.
