UWEC's future plans include acquisition
UW-Eau Claire officials this week presented the UW Board of Regents with its 20- year master plan, which includes a request to expand its campus boundary to include the current state office building property along West Clairemont Avenue.
"This is very, very preliminary, but we'd like to eventually have a presence on Clairemont Avenue. The acquisition of the state office building and land is part of the long range plan for the university," said UWEC Assistant Chancellor for Facilities Mike Rindo, who added that Outreach Programs, Adult Education and Continuing Education departments could move into a more visible location between 2017-2020.
