Security Financial buys Bernicke building
Posted: June 3, 2016
Durand-based Security Financial Bank will be acquiring the soon-to-be former Bernicke & Associates building at 4813 Keystone Crossing, Eau Claire. The transaction will close at the end of this month.
"It's going to be our administrative center. We're going to consolidate some of our loan departments. We have to open up more administrative spaces, so we're looking at moving in and opening the new office sometime in September before we move about 20 employees into that facility," said Security Financial Bank President and CEO Jim Mayo, who added, "This is really a centralization of our administrative duties. Currently, we have people in Durand, Bloomer and Eau Claire, so this will be a good move for us in the long term."
The 7,000-square-foot building is being sold because Bernicke & Associates will be moving this fall into new, larger facility in the northwest quadrant of River Prairie.
